Thoughts on TV and our Kids
Since it's TV-Turnoff Week, we should have at least one post about television...

I missed TV turnoff week totally. We don't have trouble (currently) with TV or computers. It's video games. You guys need to develop a video game turn off. I'm a lame parent who can't impose limits! :)
The referenced article makes a good point. You need to discuss what you see on TV with your children. I remember trying to explain advertising to my son when he was 3. "It's not quite as simple as it sounds." "Why not?" Explaining advertising kids as well as explaining violence, sex, language, egos, ... is the challenge for parents of our era.
