ComputerTime is available for the Windows platform only.
We wish we had all the time and experience to create versions of ComputerTime for all of the platforms that are available today, but we don’t have all the knowledge and we keep busy enough with the work that’s on our plates.
Some of these other platforms may have built in parental controls, and they might not be as flexible and full of options the way that ComputerTime is, but they may be effective for basic control.
I noticed that the Kindle Fire has a way to set limits on what kinds of apps can be used and for how long. I’ve heard that the OS X (Macs) have basic time limits.
So, basically, no, ComputerTime only works on Windows and we have no plans to go to any other platforms in the foreseeable future.
Hi there, What versions of Windows will ComputerTime work on? Is it ONLY Windows 8 and 10?
Thanks
Bobbie
ComputerTime works on Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, (32 and 64-bit versions). It also works on Windows XP, Windows Server 2008, Windows Home Server, and Windows 2003 Server.
If the child has a separate computer in their room do you load it directly to their computer or can you control the WiFi from the master computer/router? And if loaded directly to their computer would it be possible for them to enable it or remove from their system?
You install ComputerTime onto your child’s computer. You can also install it onto your computer if you wish to setup and control the limits from there. (That requires you purchase “ComputerTime with the Family Pack”.) There are safe guards built into ComputerTime to prevent a child from removing it from the computer. Try it for free from here.
